Local transport

- From the airport

A taxi from the airport to your accommodation will take about 20-30 minutes and cost about £15-20. There is also a dedicated bus service that runs from the airport to Waverley bridge (next to the station); the journey usually takes 25 minutes.

- Buses

To get to the KB campus from the city centre it is possible to take the number 42 or 24 buses to the West Mains Road stop (see map). In particular the 42 travels from the Mound, just off Princes Street, a few minutes walk from the Waverley Railway station. Timetables of buses are available from the Lothian Buses website, as well as a bus map.

- Taxis

A taxi from the city centre to KB will cost approximately £6, and will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on the time of day. Taxis can be flagged in the street, or from ranks at Waverley Railway station and around the city centre.

- Parking (in case you drive!)

Parking on campus is restricted. For those arriving by car, a car parking permit can be purchased from inside the main entrance to the School of Chemistry (the Joseph Black Building). Alternatively there is limited street parking around the edges of the campus.
